EternalArts History

pentode.jpg

Since long EternalArts is engaged in the relaunch of classical amplifier concepts. Highly  different models were manufactured as small series or as unique specimen. Not only the basic elements of the circuitries were greatly different, we also tried to be different with respect to  the outer appearance. Today most of the specimen are definitely in the hands of audiophile collectors, but some of them are still available.

PPS

Pentode Push-Pull Stereo-Amplifier

The EternalsArts Power Amplifier PPS (see picture above) is the second construction since the OTL Mk I and it was conceived of the same technical claim and design. After the OTL construction in 2004, the PPS should enrich the low-price-segment of high-class tube amplifiers. It traces back to the fundamental specifications by Harold Leak and uses the ideas of the Dutch tube specialist van Veen. Needless to say, that it works on every premium pre-amplifier. Due to the excellent Ruwido-Tandem-Pots found in old stocks, purists are able to plug in  phono stage, cd-player or the FM- or DVB-S-Tuner directly. The solid front and the swiveled volume knob are made from brass, both gold plated (24 carat).

FLAUTO 45 SE

Triode in the style of Westinghouse

Enthusiasts of triodes who are familiar with the 300B and the 2A3 but only knows from hearsay the 45 by Westinghouse, did not experience the subtlety of these tubes entirely. They originate from the beginning of the signal transmission and speakers with high efficiency are required for a perfect acoustical experience.

The Flauto-Monos presented here are produced Single Ended with selected high grade components for a test without overall feedback. At the same time, mono blocks for the 300B on basis of the “Tambour” kit  ("Die Unsterbliche", stereoplay 5/2001) and the remarkable amplifiers Viola, made for the 2A3, were created.

VIOLA 2A3 SE / AD1 SE

Triode with the RCA 2A3

The Viola-Monos were built with selected rare high grade components Single Ended without overall feedback. Only original tubes were spent instead of cheap replacements from elsewhere. After exchange of the triode-sockets and an easy changeover of the heating voltage to 4 volts, the construction can be used without any further adjustments with  the old famous German triode AD1, the European counterpart to the American triode. It is hard to get and obscenely expensive, but really cool.

By request of the competent customer, it later on was changed over to the AD1 and additionally equipped with a pair of excellent Valvo NOS (see figure).

VIOLONCELLO 2A3 SE Stereo

Stereo-Power Amplifier with the 2A3 by RCA

As a triode addict, you certainly know the 2A3 only from mono blocks. Remember, stereo did not exist until the fifties. To create a modern interpretation of this subject without changing the basic concept was really attractive. The design of the old equipment of the fifties and the reliability of the modern components merge into a brilliant tonal concept with discrete personality. A modern classic which does not have to intimidate the comparison with a commercial apparatus from the high-price segment of today.

Triode amplifier "VERDE PINETA"

Pentode in triode circuitry

The Stereo-Power Amplifier was manufactured with a comparatively modern pentode which operates in triode mode to follow up the phenomenon of triode-sound. For this purpose, the EternalArts Verde Pineta was developed and produced with selected and rare components. The entry stage tubes E88CC and the new KT88 were supplied by TAD. A beautiful and rare Lorenz EM85 tube indicates the signal strength and is adjustable to the efficiency of the speakers connected.

Cembalo 2A3 SEPP stereo

Classical 2A3 triode in push-pull-configuration

The EternalArts-Labs built this stereo amplifier for testing triodes at higher power output. Again only the best components from early production were used e.g. a quad of original Raytheon 2A3 from 1934, a very scarce diode GZ33 from Mullard and entry and driver stage triodes from Sylvania. To indicate the stereo signal, two rare Lorenz EM71 magic eyes complete the arrangement.
